At Sidwell Summer, dedicated and professional coaches lead soccer programs that focus both on cultivating a love of the game and enhancing technical skills.  Sidwell Summer Soccer Camp is designed for players of all levels in Grades K – 8. Campers are divided into groups by age and ability and each group has experienced coaches and counselors.  Both team play and individual skill development are emphasized as staff focus on various soccer techniques as well as game-like situations.

We also have a Counselor Assistant Program (CAP) for 9th-10th graders within our soccer camp, more details can be found here.

Adding a PM Camp

Sidwell Summer has a number of afternoon options that can be paired with morning programs to create a full day of camp fun for your child! After a morning program, campers will eat lunch and be escorted by staff to the afternoon option you select.

PM Camp options are listed below:

Handwork Day Camp – (Grades K-6) The Handwork Day Camp option includes fun sewing, knitting and crafting projects lead by the experienced Handwork Studio staff. New projects will be introduced each week!

S’More Fun – (Grades K-3) S’More Fun is just as it sounds – an afternoon of S’more Fun after a structured morning program. The S’more Fun option includes LEGOS, Board Games, Art & Crafts and more!

Note: After selecting AM programs during registration, you will then be directed to choose from the above PM Camp options.

8:45 AM – 9:00 AM Drop Off
9:00 AM – 9:15 AM Morning Meeting and Warm-Up
9:15 AM – 11:45 AM Rotation through stations, breaks taken as needed, ending morning with small sided games
11:45 AM – 12:00 PM Transition to Lunch / Morning only Campers to carpool
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM Lunch in air-conditioned dining room
12:45 PM – 1:15 PM Choice – Game Rooms or back on Fields (occasionally gym time option)
1:15 PM – 2:45 PM Small sided scrimmages and additional stations
2:45 PM – 3:15 PM Pack Up and Dismissal from 37th Street

Please label all items with camper’s first and last name.

  • Lunch (For full day campers only)
  • Snack
  • Water bottle (campers can refill water bottles at the field)
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat, if desired
  • Indoor and outdoor footwear (cleats can be used on turf field but sneakers/flats are needed for indoor time)
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer ball with camper’s name

Campers will not need a lunch on Friday.  Sidwell Soccer will have pizza and Italian Ice every Friday at no cost to the campers.

*In an effort to build the kind of community that is so integral to a memorable camp experience, we ask that all cell phones, music players, e-readers, and personal gaming systems be left at home.

AM Only Pick Up: 12:00 PM – 12:15 PM

Full Day Pick Up: 3:00 PM – 3:30PM

Please review the procedures below and let us know of any questions. We realize the process can seem overwhelming, but our families become pros after a few days and the flow of traffic works well.

Drop Off

Drop off for campers is between 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM in the parking garage located at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Rodman Street. To drop off please pull into the furthest entrance, and staff will be in the parking garage to help open doors and walk campers to their program meeting area. If you prefer to walk your child to the program meeting area, please pull into the middle entrance of the parking garage and park in any available parking space. The program meeting area for Soccer Camp is in the Arts Center Courtyard.

Late Drop Off

Campers arriving after 9:15 AM must be brought to the Sidwell Summer office (located next to the Fox Den) to be checked in. Sidwell Summer staff will then walk your camper to their program.

Pick Up

Early Pick Up

If your camper needs to be picked up early from camp, please call the Sidwell Summer office at 202.537.8133 or email summer@sidwell.edu ahead of time to alert us about an early pick up.

*Note: For early pick up, please arrive before 2:00 PM. We cannot accommodate early pick ups after 2:00 PM due to carpool and scheduling constraints.*

Pick Up/Carpool

AM Only Pick Up: Located in the parking garage at 12:00 PM,

Full Day Soccer Pick Up: Located on 37th Street (in front of Sidwell Friends Middle School and Athletics Center) between 3:00 PM– 3:30 PM. There is a 30-minute window allotted for pick up to help spread out traffic so please feel free to utilize this pick up window. Staff will walk participants to their cars as they arrive.

Please note: Older siblings are brought to younger siblings to allow parents easy pick up at only one location. Please pick up your campers where your youngest child’s pick up is located. Campers will not be allowed to leave camp on their own without written authorization from parents.  Please email summer@sidwell.edu to authorize campers to use public transit or walk home.

Late Pick Up Policy at the End of the Camp Day

At 3:30 PM, any campers remaining at carpool is considered a late pick up.  Campers will be taken to the Sidwell Summer Office until a parent or designated person picks up the camper(s).

Late Pick-Up Fees:  Our staff’s time is valuable to us as is the time of our families. Therefore, late pick-up fees are incurred beginning at 3:30 PM. Payment is due at the time of pick up – no exceptions. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card in the office. If a camper is picked up within 15 minutes of the designated pick-up time, it is a flat fee of $15.00. Campers picked up between 3:45 PM – 4:00PM from the camp office are charged a fee of $50.00. Campers pick up after 4:00 PM are charged $75.00. Please note charges are per camper and will apply to each child.

Note – Campers are not taken to the Camp ‘til Six program. This program is for pre-registered campers only. Campers will be in the summer office for pick-up.  Serious infractions, either based on frequency of late pick-ups or duration of any single pick up, may result in dismissal from camp program.

All mandatory medical information is captured through the online application. However, if your child has medication to be distributed while at camp, you would like the nurse to administer over the counter medications to your child during the camp day, or your child has allergies or asthma, please click here to access the necessary forms.
