Winter Indoor Soccer Clinics are designed for players of all levels in Grades K – 6. Participants are divided into smaller groups by age and ability, and when possible with friends.  Both team play and individual skill development are emphasized as coaches and counselors focus on various soccer techniques as well as game-like situations. Each session will have a specific technical focus that will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Dribbling and moving with the ball
  • Passing with different surfaces of the foot
  • Trapping / receiving the ball on the ground and in the air,
  • Shooting and heading
  • Working in space
  • Water bottle labeled with camper’s name (camper can refill water bottle in athletic center)
  • Indoor footwear (sneakers/flats are needed for indoor time).
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer ball with camper’s name

Drop Off: All participants will meet coaches in the Athletic Center 10 minutes prior to their session start time.  Parents/Guardians are welcome to escort their campers to the Athletic Center, or allow them to walk unaccompanied.  Participants are allowed into the gym 10 minutes before their session start time.

Pick Up: All participants must picked up from the Athletic Center no more than 10 minutes after their session ends. Participants are permitted to leave the gym unaccompanied as long as parents/guardians have submitted a note to the Sidwell Summer Office via email. (summer@sidwell.edu) *Please note: Winter Soccer Clinic staff will not be available to assist with drop off or pick up.
