Positions for Individuals Ages 16+:

Counselor – Seeking flexible, motivated, and energetic camp counselors to work in a fun, exciting camp environment. Counselors will assist teachers/coaches with management of campers in an active and enriching camp setting. Applicants should have interest in assisting teachers/coaches with daily activities, engaging campers throughout the camp day, and working in a hands-on, fun environment. One of the most important responsibilities of a Counselor is promoting group bonding, a memorable experience for all campers, and the building of positive and caring relationships among campers and staff. Experience working with children in a camp, school or other setting preferred, not required. 

  • Basketball Counselor - Assist coaches with all aspect of Basketball Camp. Duties include supervision of campers, assist with drills and games, and carpool support. Experience with basketball is required.

    1-week position, must be available: June 17– 21 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • FILLED! Discovery Day Camp Counselor - Assist campers with various activities - arts, sports, games, etc. in a fun and active setting. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with elementary aged campers.

    6-week position, must be available for all 6-weeks: June 24– August 2 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • FILLED! Discovery Junior Day Camp Counselor - Assist campers with various activities - arts, sports, games, etc. in a fun and active setting. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with young (pre-school/pk) aged campers.

    6-week position, must be available for all 6-weeks: June 24– August 2 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • Extended Day Counselor - Assist campers with various activities - arts, sports, games, etc. in a fun and active setting. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with early childhood and elementary aged campers.

    9-week position, must be available for at least 6-weeks: June 10– August 9 - 2:30 PM – 5:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • S’More Fun Counselor - Assist campers with various activities - arts, sports, games, etc. in a fun and active setting. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with elementary aged campers.

    9-week position, must be available for at least 6-weeks: June 10– August 9 - 11:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • FILLED! Soccer Counselor - Assist coaches with all aspect of Soccer Camp. Duties include supervision of campers, assist with drills and games, and carpool support. Experience with soccer is required.

    9-week position, must be available for at least 6-weeks: June 10– August 9 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • FILLED! Summer Studies Counselor - Assist lead teacher in academic or enrichment classroom setting. Must be comfortable engaging and working hands-on with middle school and high school aged campers. Must be age 18+.

    Dates & Times Vary - between June 17 - August 2 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • Tennis Counselor - Assist coaches with all aspect of Tennis Camp. Duties include supervision of campers, assist with drills and games, and carpool support. Experience with tennis is required.

    9-week position, must be available for at least 6-weeks: June 10– August 9 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

Office Admin and Operations – Seeking individuals who are ready and will to assist with the logistics of all Sidwell Summer programming and operations. This will include office duties, carpool, communication with campers and families, and additional tasks needed to keep the programs running smoothly.

Positions for Individuals Ages 21+:

Teacher/Coach –Seeking flexible, motivated, and energetic adults to work as a teacher/coach in a fun, exciting camp environment. Teacher/Coach will lead a group of campers in an active and enriching camp setting. Applicants should have interest in leading daily activities, engaging campers throughout the camp day, and working in a hands-on, fun environment. Experience working with children in a camp, school or other setting required. 

  • Discovery Day Camp Teacher - Lead and supervise group of campers and teach specific activities in a day camp setting. Day camp activities may include arts, science, cooking, acting, music, sports, and more! Duties include supervision of campers, teaching of activities, assistance with carpool, and oversight of counselors. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with elementary aged campers.

    6-week position, must be available for the full 6-weeks: June 24– August 2 - 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • Discovery Junior Day Camp Teacher - AM Only - Lead and supervise group of young campers (ages 3 & 4) through various activities in a day camp setting. Create a fun and nurturing camp group. Duties include supervision of campers, assistance with carpool, and oversight of counselors. Must be comfortable engaging and being hands-on with early childhood aged campers.

    6-week position, must be available for the full 6-weeks: June 24– August 2 - 8:30 AM – 12:15 PM, Monday- Friday

  • Nurse – Responsible for the medical care and supervision of @ 100+ campers/week; medication administration, administering basic first aid, and record keeping.  Applicants must be mobile, organized, timely, and professional. Good communication skills are required as ongoing communication with campers, staff, and families is key. Must have current DC Nursing license and valid CPR/First Aid Certification. Experience working with children in a camp, school or other setting preferred, not required.
