Debate and Public Speaking (Grades 3-5)

  1 week sessions       9:00am - 12:00pm       $265

Listen Up!

Are you passionate about something but don’t know how to make others understand? Do you feel so strongly about something that you don’t even know how to explain it? Come learn how to reason your point of view, structure and organize a debate, and prepare sound arguments. Students will gain public speaking skills while strengthening their self-confidence and teamwork as well!

Through a variety of activities, campers learn to formulate and present both sides of arguments, and listen to the arguments of others. We can all agree, Debate & Public Speaking are great life skills!

For campers in rising 3-5th grade, “Multicultural Art” will explore the ways in which culture and design come into conversation with each other, and allow campers to express their cultural identities through the imagining and making of art pieces.

For campers in K-2nd grade, Ms. Eliza’s art elective will involve making collages and exploring identity in an exciting and fun summer manner! From paper collages to nature collages to mixed media collages, the students will express and share, through color and composition, their views of themselves!
