The stage is set—now watch your camper’s creativity come alive!

In DEAN's Performing Arts Studio, campers discover the joy of creative expression through acting, movement, dance, and storytelling, all in a playful, pressure-free environment. From improv games and movement challenges to, adding a little magic to the mix, literally!

Musical moments and expressive storytelling, each day brings fresh fun opportunities to experiment, collaborate, and build confidence. Programs like You've Got Talent invite campers to explore their creative spark while working alongside friends in a supportive space that celebrates every idea.

There's no formal performance or pressure here, just the fun of trying something new. At the end of the week, in our Friday Showcase, campers can choose to share small "talent moments", whether it's a tiny skit, a dance, or a creative mash-up they've designed together. It's the perfect introduction to performing in front of an audience, where the focus stays on teamwork, expression, and discovery.

Skills Learned

Each week, campers engage in performance exercised and projects, learning key skills and mindsets:

- Foundation Skills: Improvisation techniques, stage presence, expressive movement, rhythm and musicality, and ensemble collaboration

- Technical Abilities: Vocal projection, storytelling through gesture and action, basic choreography concepts, character development, and creative scene-building with peers

As they rehearse and perform, campers strengthen essential character skills:

- Collaboration and Empathy: Creating scenes and routines together while connecting with scene partners and responding to each other's creative choices

- Confidence and Self-Regulation: Taking creative risks in a supportive space and maintaining focus during rehearsals and group activities

Each camper leaves the camp with newfound skills and progress in various performance areas that they can take with them wherever they go!

Weekly Overview

You’ve Got Talent (Grades 1-5)

In You’ve Got Talent, every camper discovers the magic of their own creativity. One moment they’re pulling a challenge card that launches them into a wild improv scene as superheroes; the next, they’re learning fresh choreography, juggling scarves like circus stars, or mastering magic tricks that leave everyone mystified. Each day bursts with hilarious, surprising, confidence-building activities inspired by improv comedy, dance, magic, and other performance arts.

This unique challenge-card format keeps campers guessing—and grinning—as ordinary minutes transform into extraordinary discoveries. With every new prompt, they experiment, stretch their creativity, and uncover talents they never knew they had, all in a no-pressure, playful environment that celebrates imagination.

And then comes the final scene of the week: the Friday Finale! Campers can shine in a solo act, collaborate on a group performance, or present something wildly original. It’s all about courage, creativity, and the joy of showing the world what you’ve got.

Find your talent. Build your confidence. Have a blast!
